MACUL Space

connecting educators & enhancing learning

Hey, I started using twitter (inspired by Steve Dembo). I'm still looking for good educators to follow and I thought the MACULSpace group would be a good group to follow on twitter. It seems I need some more distractions in my life :-)

So, if you wouldn't mind, who out there twitters and what is your address?

LOL (no, really), I need to not open some stuff while my students are taking a test.

It's funny because it's true. I shed a little tear for humanity sometimes when I think about the loss of interaction we have with one another when we "gain" interaction with others across great distances.

Humanity's got bigger problems than Twitter... but that aside, I would agree if people threw away, or even ignored, personal contact in favor of only electronic communications. Reminds me of the scene in WALL-E, where the two humans are talking to each other via their technology... when they're side-by-side.

Exactly, that was one of my favorite parts of that movie. I know we've bigger fish to fry, but sometimes it does get a bit ridiculous :)

I'm on both Twitter and Plurk as karlyb. I love to follow other Michigan/MACUL teachers. I'm a K - 8 tech teacher at a private school and a Mac lover! I've learned so much during the year and a half that I've been on Twitter!

Anyone interested in doing a TweetUp at MACUL or doing a twitter feed from the general sessions?

twitter is a great tool - I'm at http://twitter.com/ckendall

I also use Nested Twitter Replies, a Greasemonkey script, in my Firefox browser - it threads the Twitter posts - very nice!
