connecting educators & enhancing learning

I have some student teachers who are finding the school-issued lesson plan books restrictive (i.e., not enough space) for daily planning. Some are interested in using technology for planning. Aside from Google Calendar, have any of you found an application, tool, or template that you have successfully adapted to facilitate your lesson planning?

I've been using PlanBookEdu this year. it's nothing fancy; quite literally a digital version of the standard lesson plan book, only you get to dictate how many blocks there are. I've found that it's nice to have access to my lessons on any computer, but otherwise the tool is really limited. I've tried a few other sites, but they always seemed too cumbersome (have to select grade level, resources, objectives all separately).

Not sure if that helps, but if your looking for tools that are better suited for student-teachers you can always try the 4teachers Assign-A-Day.

Thanks for the interesting sites. I'll check them out.

Here is the template we use at our school. I think it's a bit much but we are required to complete it weekly. I hope it helps.

Sorry I was not able to find a blank template :(.

At my school we use schoolplanner.com to post our lesson plans for students and parents. It is very convienient and easy to do. It's a great way to stay organized and to keep students and parents aware of what's going on that day.

Only 25 bucks a year? That's not bad for a single teacher using it.
