MACUL Space

connecting educators & enhancing learning

If you're a member of any of the MACUL SIG (Special Interest Groups) Listservs, then you have probably seen this announcement.

MDE is now a State Education Partner with Thinkfinity, which is
sponsored by the Verizon Foundation. If you haven't heard of
Thinkfinity, you may have heard of Marco Polo--this is the new and
improved Marco Polo. Through our partnership with Thinkfinity we will
be offering FREE TECHNOLOGY INTEGRATION TRAINING for teachers.

We are currently looking for teachers and media specialists interested
in becoming field trainers, so that they can start doing technology
integration training for teachers in their district and ISD. The field
trainer training is a 6-week online course that requires no specific
meeting times. SB-CEUs (free) and grad credits are available too. The
next training starts in May and the registration deadline is March
30th. The following session is in July with a May 30th registration
deadline. If you want to participate in either of these sessions or if
you have questions, please e-mail Karen Hairston at hairstonk@michigan.gov

Feel free to distribute this information to others!

I'm taking the Thinkfinity training right now. I've found this more worthwhile in four weeks than I did my last graduate class. It holds fantastic information and awesome resources.

I sent my e-mail to Karen twice and never heard back. I am interested in attending if there is still room.
