In your courses you have been asked to share your tips and tricks of using technology in the classroom. In this forum we would like your class to nominate one tip or trick from each of your class discussions to post here and share with other educators in our other classes.
I have been using guidesandtutorials.com to help with learning audacity and powerpoint. There are tutorials for word, powerpoint, dreamweaver, and excel as well. It is a good source for tutorials when you don't have access to the other site. I have also told my students about the site to help them with using the technology at home. :)
www.Mrnussbaum.com is a great website I just discovered last week. I have only used it in the classroom for math, specifically for graphing data. I teach special education and my students have a hard time creating graphs by hand. We just completed a class project where the students had to survey students in our school and create a histogram, box-and-whisker-plot, stem and leaf plot and a pie graph. This website made it easy for them to create nice neat graphs that were legible. I had two students who NEVER complete their homework come into the classroom with two graphs completed at home. They really enjoyed working with this site. I have not checked anything else out yet but am excited to see what else Mr. Nussbaum has to offer.
