Announcements

The MACUL Special Interest Group for Elementary Educators (SIG-EE) welcomes you. Post questions, share resources, and collaborate with other elementary educators here.

The SIG-EE is very excited to present two great pre-conference sessions at this year's MACUL Conference in Detroit. Wednesday March 16 is the day.

Berrien Springs educators Emman Haygood and Kimberly Sotnyk will open the morning with a half day workshop on using Glogster in the classroom with their "Posterize Yourself" presentation.

Conference Opening Keynote speaker Rushton Hurley takes over the room for the afternoon half day session with "Google's Tools for Search, Research, and Collaboration".

If there is one thing you must add to your conference planner, it is to attend the SIGEE Annual Meeting and lunch on Thursday March 17 during MACUL. For just $5...yes the same price as a crummy pizza or a lame foot long sub...you can have a catered lunch onsite in Cobo Hall while enjoying the company of other great Michigan Elementary Educators. Come get involved with SIGEE.

The SIGEE Annual Meeting is at 11:45-12:45 on Thursday, March 11 in the Riverview Room located on the Lobby level in the Amway Grand Plaza.

All SIGEE members are welcome to attend whether you sign up or not BUT... if you want a box lunch (the meeting is on Thursday March 11th at lunchtime) you MUST sign up when you register. We are charging $5 in addition to your SIGEE fee of $5, but it is still a good deal since you do not have to leave the building. (We also need to know how many lunches to order).

Come meet the SIGEE Officers, network with other SIGEE members and learn more on what SIGEE can offer you!

Hey Elem Teachers....anyone out there gearing up for a 5th grade technology assessment? We test 'em at both 5th and 8th. I'm revamping our assessment to coincide with the new METS, but would love to compare notes if anyone else out there is doing the same thing!

I am interested in attending the SIGEE annual meeting.  In the past, I've signed up in advanced and paid my $5 to be a member and I think $5 for lunch.  I found in the online planner that the meeting will be at Flanagan's Irish Pub, but I didn't see if we have to sign up &/or pay in advanced or if we just show up.  I have paid to be a SIGEE member this year to attend one of the Wednesday, pre-conference sessions.  Can anyone tell me anything more about the annual meeting?  Thanks!

Hi SigEE members.  I am running for Asst. Director and Communications Director this year and would love to see you come out and vote at the annual meeting during this year's MACUL Conference in Detroit.
