Did you contact your school district HR department? You may have enough classes to possibly be consisted highly qualified.

Lindsey... have you checked with the district in regards to NCLB? What happens if you aren't qualified by June... what does the law say they have to do? It is possible that you have enough credits in your subject area to be considered highly qualified.

Thanks Vanessa- It seems that my district is giving me conflicting answers.. GO FIGURE! I looked into the credits in my subject area but I am short.. Thanks for your thoughts.

Lindsey,
Did you miss a class or something? Aren't you in the same cohort as me? If so, we will be finished in August. While I realize that it is not June, it is prior to the start of next year. Maybe you could try to take an extra class or two during the 1st half of summer. I know that would be a heavy caseload, but it is a possibility.

Thank goodness. You had me worried for a moment! If you do need to finish by June, you could try to take the last course (Ed. in America or something like that) during the first half of summer session. If it is offered and you can take it, that would allow you to finish a couple months earlier...although you technically won't be able to graduate then, so it may not help.

Yeah!! I thought we were done in December also... that is good news. I am very happy for you Lindsey and I agree since it is before the start of the school year, I would think that everything will be okay.

I know that I'm a little late, but I was under the impression that if you were working and you had a plan of work with classes scheduled--which you do, you should be alright. But I could be wrong. I never seem to know with these things, but I hope everything will work out for you.
