Non-Negotiable!

BEFORE YOU WRITE
Janie Lynn Panagopoulos

The general “rule of thumb” for writing a story is that pre-writing is non-negotiable, in other words, you have to know what you are going to write before you sit down and start to compose.

Before you begin, try this writer’s trick. This will help you narrow your focus and make sure you are really ready to write. Sit down and write a paragraph that gives you the summary of your story. What is your story really about?

Most Important Rule to Writing!

B.I.C. - The First Writing Rule

Many writers are talented, many writers have lots to write about, many writers are committed to their craft, many writers struggle and suffer to prepare to write, but all successful writers know the first rule of writing. Do you?

Great Idea!

I don't know your personal politics, but regardless, we can all agree that we could be doing more to conserve energy and to make the world a better place. Here's something that everyone can do:

March 29, 2008. 8:00 pm. Mark your calendar and turn off your lights, computers, tvs, everything, for just one hour.

How much of a difference do you think one hour can make?

Let's find out.

Social Network

OK... I am a newbie at this... Can anyone explain to me "Social Network?" I went to set it up and realized I really didn't understand what it was all about. Thanks for your help. JLP

Blogging Workshop Interest?

For the last few months I have been keeping public blogs and using them as writing workshops. I don't know if any of you are interested, if you are, I will start posting my writing articles here.

I think technology is a wonderful addition to the educational world and am glad to be a part of it.
