- Lashawn do you think that we should give incentives to children to get THEIR parents to do what their supposed to do--Parent! I know that incentivets work, but at what cost? There are new demands placed on educators hourly, when will demands be handed down to parents. For example, a "free appropriate public education" requires a parent to attend 3 out of 4 parent/teacher conference, 1 out of 2 school functions, and by all means, they are to have their child prepared to learn when they come to school!
