MACUL Conference Session:
What Can Wikis DO For Your Classroom?, 11:30 AM-12:30 PM Room: D3-18
As more and more teachers turn to an online presence for their classroom, too many choose tools out of simplicity. Too often, simplicity doesn't cut it. Allowing purpose to drive the design of the online presence puts the web site to work. A wiki serves all the purposes a classroom teacher seeks, with more hidden treasures than most know about. It’s all in your design and purpose. Let me show you.
Essentially this session will be comprised of demonstrating how I have employed Wikispaces in my classroom to incorporate a class calendar and student portfolios. Designing wikis will be a major element in the session as well.
