Mary, Mary, Mary- Thanks so very much for your patient assistance! I had a hard time concentrating w/so much on my mind...my sister, my foot, my vacation! Thanks again- I will only improve from here :)
Kevin~
I worked with an 8th grade english class that wanted to use technology with poetry. I helped the teacher set up a classroom blog through David Warlick's Classblogmeister and once they'd started blogging their poetry they also were able to podcast some of their poetry.

I'm not sure it you can just copy and paste it or if you'll end up getting blocked. Classblogmeister uses classroom passwords. You can also go to classblogmeister, choose Michigan, and Kelly Davis as teacher and you'll find her last class on the left side of the screen. There are some podcasts in that class.
Unfortunately, Kelly was laid off and probably won't be back next year. I'm hoping to recruit another teacher to get involved with technology integration. There was starting to be some excitement about it at the end of the year and now the teachers that worked with me have all been laid off! :-(
I'll have to start from the beginning this year.
What a shame about the ENGAGE conference. I also presented about our blogging and thought is was a great way to share the experience.
Mary said: "I actually attended a session you did at U of M Dearborn in the fall on podcasting. It was very helpful and by the end of the year my kids were podcasting. Thanks for the help."
Oh wonderful, Mary! Can we listen to any of the podcasts still? Are you planning to do it with them again this year?
On a side note, I understand that there are no plans to repeat the ENGAGE Conference this year. :-(
Hey Mary, I teach technology at the elementary level, 3rd, 4th, and 5th. Quite a nice age group with some decent skills so I'm not just building from scratch.
On November 12, the CTL conference will have a day of pre-conference workshops, also at the Macomb ISD. We will have two full-day sessions focusing on the following topics:
iTeach: Using iPods and iPhones for Teaching and Learning
