Read your ISTE cell phone 'challenge' recently. Thanks for presenting some convincing arguments on this subject.
Nice to meet you at Tech-Camp. Your presentation was wonderful! I learned a lot and am still processing. Full brain! Thanks again.
Glad to see that you will be joining us for MSU Tech Day. Hope I get a chance to drop in on your session. We can at least chat over lunch.

Yes, I downloaded photostory on my lap top and tried it once last summer. It seemed easy to use. My problem is I have no mic on my lap top so I couldn't test the audio recording part of it. :) One of these days I'll get back to it and check it out again.
Yup, I blog all the time, but I basically use my blog to put up travelling pictures. :) www.teacherntraveler.blogspot.com
I very much doubt that I know about any new technologies that you wouldn't already know about. :) I did do my first big technology project this year. :) It was fun, but a total disaster. :) I had my kids write research reports on a country of their choice and then we took their reports and turned them into digital story books. Their reports had 5 sections in them, so they summarized each section and added a picture or two to go with each summary. We used movie maker and audacity. Do you use audacity? Its a great FREE recording program and it also allows you to put music into your recording. It will turn the audio and music into one wav file or an mp3 file. It will also let you edit your mistakes without having to erase the whole thing and re-record. So you don't have to record each slide seperately. You can record the whole narration at once. Our problem was that I didn't realize that with audacity you have to export every time you stop even if you're not done. We just did the "save as" and then the kids kept losing their work or it kept messing up, etc. Then we also had the wrong version of movie maker so they couldn't do any of the fun editting stuff, but that ended up turning out for the better anyway because by the time we got our problems with audacity worked out we really didn't have time to do all that stuff anyway. :) So, most of them did finally finish the project, but then we couldn't get them to play in my room to view them together, so the tech people in my district offered to put them on DVDs for the kids for free, but then it turns out the kids took the DVDs home and they didn't work and it was the end of the year so there wasn't time to fix it! It was sad that they didn't get to keep their work, but at least it introduced them to the programs. And I'm sure if I ever do the project again it would be much smoother having now done it and made all the mistakes already. :)
So, audacity is a new program that I worked with this year and then I was introduced to Protopages this summer at a web 2.0 session. It looks interesting, though I didn't spend a whole lot of time working with it. If you don't know about audacity let me know and I'll tell you how to download it. Its a little tricky, but once its done its a very easy program to use. :)
