Moodle as a web site?

We are thinking about using moodle as our web site? Can it be done? SHOULD it be done? What are the problems with going down this road? (I am having a really hard time thinking of why NOT to do this...
Any suggestions?

Wouldn't Drupal be a better solution? Not that I'm any sort of an authority on the matter, but from my understanding Moodle is more of a course management system, while Drupal is a content management system. Then again, it depends on if you want your teachers to start using the school webpage for managing courses, distributing assessments and materials electronically, etc. In that case, Moodle would make a great choice.

However, Drupal does have a Moodle integration module. That means you could let Drupal does what it does best; manage static or dynamic content, while still being able to harness the power of Moodle for providing online coursework, community, and assessment. Apparently, one of the Moodle modules I found isn't ready for primetime, but that doesn't mean with a bit more digging you couldn't find something that works.
